Go to destiny.sandi.net and/or http://www.ipl.org/div/litcrit/ for your research. On the sandi site only use the articles from “Scholarly Journals”- even these you will need to sift through- not all of them will be appropriate for your research. Find a couple scholarly articles that can support your position on the author’s style.
While you are researching your poet’s style keep track of any academic terms that you may be able to use for your writing. Use some of these terms correctly in your writing. Then, write an essay that addresses the prompt, uses academic vocabulary and supports your argument with evidence from the poems and articles.

After reading several poems from a single poet and researching the poet, write an essay that argues your position on the writer’s style.
Support your position with evidence from your research as well as evidence from some of the poems you read. Be sure to acknowledge differences between your position and the opinion from the scholarly articles.
